another view

Going to have a bit of custom work to do to it, to get a good look and fit, will prob make a fiberglass mold of the existing plastic and do my custom work there ( a bit of dash removal a bit of shrinking of the headlight hole, maybe curve out the handle bar cutaways a bit for a more period look )

zoom zoom

While I have a full fairing on the way, this one should make break in allot easier for the constant tweaking that will go on for the first 1000 miles.

stacks

Just got these in from steadfast.. been on backorder for a while apparently 26mm is getting hard to come by..

Who says Green is bad luck...

Decided to go traditional racing colors, this is about as close to British Racing Green as I could get out of the local rattle can..
Here's the tank badges I made lightly tacked in place for visual mock up, still have a center white stripe to paint ..and possibly some yellow accents still working on that approach.

Back .. from the dead

Been a while since the last update, have been on hiatus for a while. Starting to get back in the groove of things.

Got the muffler back from plate, nickel plated, had to pain the headers due to them not being plate worthy.

Welded the last tab onto the tank, so went ahead and threw a fresh coat of primer on it. And, here's a closer look at the muffler with the cap, still need to come up with a clean way to mount the cap to the muffler for baffle installation.

Rear set plates

Rear Set plates - 1/4 in 5051 aluminum (have a set of back up
steel plates if these prove to not be strong enough
especially with countersunk allen heads.)
Kicker Clearance issues.. saw this coming and yes there
is a plan.

Started by shaving the peg wanted to do this anyway now
its a forced necessity, this gives the kicker clearance
from the foot peg, the shifter peg will take some finagling
might make a quick cotter release for the cleavis and just drop it
to kick it and snap the cotter back in to ride.. still working that out

At least the brake side is clear, just need to shave the peg to
match

Mounting Brackets

Welded up oil tank and side panel mounts. Coated with some primer while I was at it and had the rear loop off.

Headers

Well .. After much deliberation I came to this..  Headers were just to beaten and hacked on to justify spending the coin on plate. While I am plating the muffler this ceramic high heat will have to due until I can pick up a nice pair of headers or some actual TT 2 into 1's, can't really see it in the picture but these headers are def not plate worthy.

Oil tank breather clean up

Sooo..it had to go (Clearance
issues..)

Overflow spout... kinda big and always in the way
So on the right I picked up the breather vent
of course it had to be 10 x 1.00 which is impossible
to find at the local hardware store. Happened to find  a
2 pack of 10 x1.00 nuts made a bung out of one.

Brazed on the make shift bung

And here we are vent installed

Weekend progress

 Some progress

Welded up the muffler bracket added a gusset and
an extra hole to use for a safety cable seems a bit extreme
until you have a bracket fail and a muffler fly off at 70mph
Found this little gem in the
box of random bits I keep around
fits the frame perfect.
Here it is mounted, note the gusset and the extra
hold for the safety cable.
And I cleaned up the underside
of the baffle cover that went
to the old cocktail shaker.
It will be plated with the muffler
and attached with magic.
Side view.

Tach bracket mounted in place
And the Scitsu finally has a home
just needs speed holes now

T100 Rocker boxes  I don't know the year. Interesting note is that these do not have the viewing hole on the sides only the one for the shaft the rocker arms connect to, might tell a wiser person the year. Both boxes have been media blasted and exterior's polished, it wouldn't take much more elbow grease to get these to a mirror shine. One of the boxes is missing the threaded stud as seen in the pictures, easily replaced through one of the bigger dealers such as  MAP or British Cycle supply etc. I have loads more pictures if you want different angles. No rocker caps, hardware, rocker arms etc just the covers.   ---- $35
