Compress them thar rings

Ok well MAP was out of stock of the piston ring compressor I needed so .. time to improvise ..


                                                               

First some 4 in hose clamps. Then take out those trusty beer can shims.. really can't have enough of those.. trim the clamp to length.

 
Shim inserted with the hose clamp to show it's purpose, and here it is on my old piston with the pretty ring from my seized valve.







         Ok so here are all my pieces.. time to get to work ....
