First Locate your shim stock...
Go to town with a razor Clean up the edges
Slice em and dice em into you chosen shim sizes
Recognize where a shim is due.. yep totally needed one here....
And, this is why.. Triumph tubes have a taper at the top for the tree's these are re manufactured tubes and the machinist went a bit far with the lathe taking the chrome down to just a few inches above the bottom tree.. those mm add up..
Start your shim in a bit of a spiral pattern to make it feed in a bit easier and spin it around until it disappears under the bracket in question..
Ok and now they are tight and ready to go .. a bit scared and bruised but holding solid none the less .. now where was I ...
